Yay for School?

Hello everyone! Since school is starting up soon, I thought that I would do one on Education. I know that no one really enjoys school, but we need it to be able to get a job later in life and support our families. From For the Strength of Youth, it states, "Education is an important part of Heavenly Father's plan to help you become more like Him. . ." If it is that important to our Heavenly Father, it should be important to us. However, we should not just be educating ourselves in history, mathematics, and sciences. We need to be nourishing our body by feasting upon the words of Christ everyday. The more we come to learn of our Heavenly Father, the closer we are to Him. And we will feel his love even more. In Doctrine and Covenants 88:118 it states: "Seek learning, even by study and also by faith"  We need to be continually seeking opportunities everyday to learn. Those who are of age need to be attending seminary everyday. President Thomas S. Monson says this about seminary, "Seminary will help you understand and rely on the teachings of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. You will feel the spirit of the Lord as you learn to love the scriptures. You will prepare yourselves for the temple and for missionary service." Now if the prophet has commanded us to learn, and our Heavenly Father, we should listen. Because we take all of the knowledge that we gain in this Earth-life with us into the eternities. Keep learning. Do not stop. And I know that all will be well. I know that My Redeemer Lives and is looking out for us. We must come unto Him. And I say that in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

*Perry Ward Seminary starts Tuesday September 4th! Talk to anyone that is a Mormon for the deets if you are interested! :)
